Plot: Famous Poet and Communist, Pablo Neruda, is known for his strong pro-communist leanings. As political hands change in his country he becomes a wanted fugitive by the Government of the day. He is forced into hiding while a determined Police Inspector and his hounds seek his trail. Meanwhile in Europe, word of Neruda's misfortune reaches fever pitch and artists led by Pablo Picasso clamour for Neruda's freedom.
