Black Panther BP, continues its reign atop the box-office summit with impressive figures in its third weekend. Smiling to the bank internationally with $396m and a cumulative domestic total of $ 501.1m for a global total of $ 897.7m in 17 days. With its financial success comes a tumbling of previous box-office records and Black Panther-new-order taking over. Fasten your seat belts as you take in the latest records BP has in its wake.
With $56m internationally and $66m domestically in box-office figures over the weekend, Ryan Couglar's superhero thriller peaked at the summit in all markets across the globe. Its domestic total gross of $501.1m places BP as the 10th highest domestic gross ever and it is currently the movie with the third highest weekend ever only queuing up behind Star Wars: The Force Awakens($90.2) and Avatar ($68.5). It is presently Marvel Cinematic Universe's, MCU, second highest grossing film ever domestically behind 2012s Avengers($623.4) and the 47th highest grossing movie ever. It should overtake Jumanji ($928.9) in 46th place soon. Debutant Red Sparrow opened in second position to modest figures. The fox studios flick like every other film is in the shadows of MCUs BP and should have launched to better figures. The espionage thriller with a B cinema score and average review ratings on review sites raked in $26.5m internationally to boost its $17m domestic gross for a global total debut of $43.5m. It has the potential to earn far more.

MGMs opening weekend of Death Wish launched to $13m fee from 2,847 locations. It has a budget of $30m. Game Night drops down from second in the previous week to place 4th with $10.9m domestically for a cumulative $33.5m. It has earned $49.5m globally and has a budget of $37m. Peter Rabbit slides down to 5th this weekend.The Sony studios animation comedy earned $10m from 3607 sites for an $84m domestic total in its fourth weeekend.


Red Sparrow: Dominika Egorova

Paramount pictures Sci-fi flick, Annihilation takes the 6th spot with a cumulative domestic gross of $20.6m after taking in $5.63m over the weekend box-office from 2,112 locations. The Natalie Portman featured film has been around for 10 days. Sony studios  Jumanji  continues to roar within the top-10 in its 11th weekend. It has $4.5m from 2313 sites and its outstanding achievement which has seen it attain a $393.2m domestic total and a global $928.9m culminates in its pride of position as the 44th highest grossing movie in box-office history. Caps-off to Sony studios cast and crew for an accomplished achievement. Universal studios Fifty Shades Freed's 24 days stint places it in 8th place in its 4th weekend. It has a box-office weekend gross of $3.31m from 2,614 sites. It has earned $346.2m globally with $95.6m accounted for domestically. Fox studios Greatest Showman  continues to hang inside the box-office top-10 in its 11th weekend. The Hugh Jackman featured film continues to enthral audience as it closed the weekend smiling to the bank with a princely $2.65m. If has a worldwide gross of $375m while rounding up the top-10 this week is Every Day, In its second weekend, it has a box-office weekend gross of $1.6m from 1,669 locations.
